Coach Monique Carter – Coaching Bio
Kissed by the sun, Monique is a native Floridian from Cocoa, Florida. She currently resides in Orlando with her husband Michael and twin boys Micah and Miles (currently 6 years old). She has over 14 years of experience in higher education with a current role as a Success Coach and Success Coach Trainer at The University of Central Florida. She’s also proudly the Vice President of Women on the Rise Inc II, a non-profit women’s empowerment organization. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Education/Adult Education and Training. There’s always been a passion for helping adults get from where they are, to where they’d like to be.
She’s mentored, formed sister circles, facilitated Lean-In Circles, and constantly uplifts women with her energetic spirit. She’s passionate about her Diamond Breakthrough mission. The Diamond Breakthrough – Where physical fitness meets mental toughness. It’s mental, physical, spiritual, discipline, sisterhood, organization, inner peace, and most importantly… patience. It includes a 30-day jumpstart workbook to taking control of your life. This is NOT an overnight transformation. We’re learning new habits and behaviors that will initiate a healthier, happier lifestyle. Designed to push your mind and body beyond the limits we’ve unknowingly placed on ourselves. Please understand that you will not find happiness in anyone or anything else. It starts with you! Getting stronger physically has a tremendous impact on our mental strength.
“First and foremost, losing my mom at only 48 to cancer and my dad to heart failure at 54 was a wakeup call. Not to mention carrying a set of twins. Taking control of your health through exercise, nutrition, and stress management is not all about the look. You’ll feel stronger, have more clarity, build up your confidence, get better sleep, need less medications, and live longer, happier lives.”
So, why Life Coaching? Diamond Breakthrough is about the whole person. We are not one-dimensional, and every day we’re being pulled in many directions. It’s essential we get centered, assess where we are, rejuvenate, and get back in the game with behavior changes. We must do this self-evaluation often. We place ourselves on the back burner far too often, and before we know it our lives have passed us by, and everyone else has moved on. The best thing we can do for our loved ones is take the absolute best care of ourselves, while taking full responsibility for our own lives. I look forward to going on this journey with you.
